
Description: TINIedCar is a project using an iButtion and TINI (tiny inter-net interface) hardware to enable any car to be; started using an iButton and optional keypad, administered through the web (turn on car + stereo, sound alarm, start heater, etc.), as well as allow a car to be turned on/off using any 802.11b/g/WAP enabled device. TINIedCar will be modeled after Webmin (http://www.webmin.com), except for cars, with statistics for car speed, temperature, engine RPMs, and sensor configuration for fuel, windshield wiper fluid, etc. Encryption support will be for the Java-powered iButton, supporting 1024 bit authentication keys for starting your car, with RSA, SHA-1, DES, and 3DES. Other development programs will include a "guest" iButton option, or "guest" pin-code option, where, if someone were to want to borrow your car, they could use a guest iButton or guest pin-code (or both) to start the car, only allowed for a limited time. Additional users will also be available. Our ultimate goal includes the option for a car LCD, displaying current car information, low gas, etc. Also audio alerts and greetings, and provisions for a car security system. All programming will be done for the Java-powered iButton, Model 96, Release 2.2, and the TINI Board Rev. D Model 390, Release 1.0 w/ 1MB NV SRAM/512k Flash ROM, as well as the TINI Socket (DSTINIS-006), E20, Revision C. All programming should be compatible with the TINI Board Rev. D Model 390, Release 1.0 w/ 512k NV SRAM/512k Flash ROM and the TINI Socket (DSTINIS-005), E10, Revision C.
